Getform.io Is Now Forminit: Same Team, New Name
TL;DR: Getform.io became Forminit on 14 January 2026. This was a rebrand, not an acquisition. We are the same independent team and form-backend service that has operated since 2015. Existing Getform endpoints continue to work, so no migration or code changes are required.

Getform.io is now Forminit.
We changed our name on 14 January 2026, but the people, product history and purpose behind the service remain the same. Forminit is not a new company that acquired Getform, and Getform and Forminit are not separate products. Forminit is the current name of the service previously known as Getform and Getform.io.
For existing customers, nothing needs to change. Your current Getform endpoints continue to work, and you do not need to update your forms or migrate your submissions simply because of the rebrand.

Why did Getform become Forminit?
The way people build websites and applications has changed significantly since we launched Getform in 2015.
Developers, designers and people using AI coding tools can now create custom forms, multi-step experiences, conditional flows and polished interfaces much faster than before. But every production form still needs reliable infrastructure behind it.
Submissions must be received securely, validated on the server, protected from spam, stored safely and delivered to the right people and tools. File uploads, notifications, webhooks and integrations still need to work without requiring every team to build and maintain its own backend.
That remains our focus. The Forminit name better represents the direction of the product while continuing the work we started as Getform more than a decade ago: providing dependable form infrastructure for any website, framework or application.
What stayed the same?
The rebrand did not reset our history or replace the service with a different product.

What changed with Forminit?
The new name arrived alongside a major product update designed for modern websites, applications and AI-assisted development workflows.
Public and protected authentication modes
Forminit supports two submission modes.
Public mode is designed for forms that submit directly from a browser. It works without exposing an API key and is suitable for static sites, custom HTML forms and client-side applications.
Protected mode uses an API key for server-to-server requests. It is suitable for API routes, backend services and proxy handlers where the key can remain private.
This gives teams the simplicity of a public form endpoint when they need it and stronger server-side authentication when the application requires it.
Workspaces
Workspaces help agencies, freelancers and teams keep forms organised across projects and clients. Members can collaborate without mixing unrelated forms and submissions in the same working area.
Form Blocks
Form Blocks add structure and server-side validation to submitted data. Instead of treating every value as an untyped field, Forminit provides purpose-built blocks for information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, countries, ratings, dates, selections and file uploads.
Each block understands the type of data it receives. For example, phone blocks can validate E.164 numbers, email blocks validate email format and country blocks use recognised country codes. This produces cleaner submissions and more useful analytics without requiring teams to recreate the same validation logic for every form.
Submission Inbox
The Submission Inbox provides a practical place to work with form responses after they arrive. You can review submissions, change their status, star important entries, add internal notes, filter results and switch between inbox and table views.
Forminit is not only an endpoint that forwards an email. It provides the infrastructure and dashboard needed to receive, organise and act on submitted data.
What do existing Getform users need to do?
Nothing is required solely because of the rebrand.
Your existing Getform endpoints continue to work, so you do not need to replace endpoint URLs or modify live forms. For new forms, use the current Forminit dashboard, documentation and Forminit endpoint format.
